Synopsis

A bookkeeper of a multimillion dollar business is murdered before she can tell who her accomplice has been in the systematic theft of corporate funds. Unbeknownst to anyone, the bookkeeper is actually the third victim of the killer. The diabolical killer plans the murder so that the police are set up to arrest the President of the Company who is the last person seen with the bookkeeper. The President is also the victim of planted evidence which solidifies the prosecution's case. The defense is desperately trying to track down a mysterious young man as a suspect, who, in reality, is a fictional character created by the careful killer. The only significant clue is a tango slipper found in the trunk of the decedent's car at the scene of the murder. True to life, the murder is solved by the young female detective. At the end, the adversarial patrolman and the female detective are headed to a new relationship.
