Who is Peter Brown? In the early spring of 2006, Peter took early retirement after almost 44 years as a journalist in his home city of Lincoln. His work had brought him in to daily contact with the rich and the famous, the poor and the unknown, and they all had a story to tell. And in his spare evenings and days off, he had a parallel career as a family entertainer, appearing all over the country first as a juggling and rope-spinning act called El Petanos, and more recently as Pedro the Clown. He also helped start an event which became one of the nation’s top steam traction engine rallies, is a regular contributor to BBC Radio Lincolnshire, an after-dinner and public speaker and a long-time contributor to the showmen’s weekly newspaper, World’s Fair. Peter is also very much a family man and the proud father of two daughters - born almost 31 years apart. A few months before his retirement, he was made an Honorary Freeman of the City of Lincoln in recognition of his services.
