After finding and reading his father's diaries Keith decided to find out more about the escape line that brought him home.

He found lots of literature written by people who had travelled the Pat Line and some by people who had worked on it, but nothing to explain exactly how the Line had been formed and run. He started to do some serious research and that led him to the Escape Lines Memorial Society. He is now an archivist and Committee member for the ELMS and run their website as well as attending several Freedom Trail walks following various escape line routes each year.
